Privacy Policy
Modus is a personal record-keeping app for people managing hormone, peptide and metabolic protocols. This policy explains what we store, why, and what we will never do with it.
Age requirement
Modus is intended for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account or use the app. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
What Modus stores
Information you enter
- Compounds and protocols you choose to track, including dose, schedule, route and supply
- Doses you log, including injection site and any notes you add
- Laboratory results you enter, and the reference ranges printed on your own lab report
- Daily check-in scores and notes
- Body measurements you enter, such as weight, body fat, waist, blood pressure and resting heart rate
- Optional profile details such as first name, sex, age, height and weight
Account information
- Your email address
- If you sign in with Apple or Google, an account identifier from that provider. We receive only what is needed to identify your account; we do not receive your password.
What we do not collect
- We do not collect your location
- We do not collect your contacts, photos or device identifiers for tracking
- We do not use advertising SDKs, tracking pixels or attribution tools
- We do not send your health information to any analytics service
How your information is stored
Your records are kept on your device and synced to your account so they are available if you change or lose your phone. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS) and stored encrypted at rest by our infrastructure provider, Supabase, which hosts on Amazon Web Services.
Access to your records is enforced at the database level: each account can only read and write its own rows. A small number of Atrom LLC personnel can access production systems for maintenance and support. We keep that access limited and do not review individual users' health records as a matter of course.
How your information is used
- To display your own records back to you and calculate trends, adherence and summaries
- To sync your records between your devices
- To send reminders you have enabled, which are generated on your device
- To respond to you if you contact support or send feedback
We may look at aggregate, de-identified usage patterns to improve the app. This never includes identifiable health records and is never sold.
What we never do
- We do not sell your personal information or your health information to anyone
- We do not share your health information with advertisers, data brokers or marketing platforms
- We do not use your health information to target advertising
Who else touches your data
We use a small number of service providers to run the app:
- Supabase — database, authentication and hosting
- Apple — app distribution, and Sign in with Apple if you use it
- Google — Sign in with Google if you use it
These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
Your choices
- Export. More → Data → Export produces a complete copy of your records.
- Delete. More → Account → Delete account data erases your cloud records and the copy on your device. This cannot be undone.
- Notifications. Every reminder can be turned off individually in More → Notifications.
- Discreet mode. Reminders can be set to hide compound names on your lock screen.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information, including access, correction and deletion. Contact us and we will honour them.
Data retention
We keep your records for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account data, the records are removed from our systems. Encrypted backups may persist for a short period before being overwritten in the ordinary course of operations.
Security
We use encryption in transit and at rest, database-level access controls, and limited administrative access. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise. If we become aware of a breach affecting your information, we will notify you and any regulator we are required to notify.
Not medical advice
Modus records and organizes information you enter. It does not diagnose, treat, prescribe or recommend doses, and it does not interpret laboratory results. Reference ranges shown in the app are the ones you enter from your own lab report. Discuss your protocol and your results with a qualified clinician.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be surfaced in the app.
